If you are looking to put thermal vision on a vehicle or the back of your house and watch it remotely - this is the best way.
Apply 12vdc power to the power red and black wires on this core and just plug the RCA / BNC video out to any monitor or car stereo reverse camera input and watch live thermal IR video.
The Thermal image taken was from the 300D core on the front of my 1987 GMC van in traffic - it's being displayed on my car stereo reverse cam input while im driving.
The internal core and 320 x 240 chip is similar to a 2001 - 2005 Cadillac Thermal camera , but this doesn't have the large germanium thermally transparent window over the front for rock protection.

Misc. info:
I have had several of these thermal imagers - video can be extended for remote viewing with proper video / power cable.
Extended DC power cables must be of heavier gage to prevent power loss in the line or camera will not start up. (remote view use only)
This particular core has
low
hours of use and should provide years of reliable service.
The camera shown is being tested on a pool table with myself about 10 feet away in 60 degree temperature. I have on glassses. Iris on camera is wide open.
Picturesof the street is from an identical core mounted in the front of my van grill as a video / monitor / picture example. - I've driven at night with the headlights off (nightvision)
Some of the Images are shown on a car stereo using the reverse camera input on the indash radio in my van from an identical core mounted in my van grill.
Most of the images taken on the stereo are at night and show thermal outline from houses and cars in front of my van.
Notes & Uses:
Some people use these mounted on vehicles for hunting - great for spoting wild Hogs or game at night.
Point at your back 40 acres and see that guy sneaking up in camo or ghillie suit from far away using this Thermal imager.
Perfect for the prepper , put this outside your bunker and use for security use.
See game tracks or footpints on the ground when it's cold outside or in the snow.,
See through Fog , Rain , or see clearly past headlights pointed at you at night. (fog and rain can dimminish image quality , but it still is effective)
Great for use on boats - spot dead heads ahead in the water before you hit them or other boats at night - Bodies / people in the water show up like light bulbs (in cold water) at night or day.
See heat plumes from car exhaust or heat from chimmneys or stacks - see pics
See Tires on vehicles that are low that are glowing hot over other tires. See electrical circuits that are overloaded and heating up. Find an over lean cylinder by pointing this at your headers on a car.
The threaded Lenses on these units can be removed and different sizes can be installed if you need more zoom or wider angle. They can be found on elswhere on Ebay.
Most of these images were taken off a screen with my cell phone and don't do the resolution of the camera any justice.
If you have a capture card with a analog composite video input on your PC or Mac, you can digitally capture and use several available (freeware) software programs to colorize the grayscale video and output it on your monitor.
This core is very simmilar to what Cadillac used on their cars with a heads up display to warn drivers of hazards ahead while driving. (resolution and camera design are about the same)
You can do a Youtube search and find lots of 300D or Thermal - Eye L3 video clips for live video examples on-line to get an idea of how this looks while driving or viewing cars, wildlife etc.
These imagers have many uses - buy this one from me and save big $$ over cost of same exact unit selling on Ebay for more than ,400
These Ratheon 300D imagers are built to military specifications and cost a Gov. agency more than 14 grand each when they were new.
